Creativity & Confidence

a 4-week group therapy experience for teen girls ages 12-15 years who want to slow down, create, and build confidence in who they are Through writing, art-making, nature exploration, and mindfulness.

Here's the scoop

WHAT INSPIRED THE GROUP?

The teen years can be full of pressure, comparison, and constant noise from social media. This 4-week small-group experience offers something different: a space where teens can slow down, get outside, create, and build confidence in who they are.

Through writing, art-making, nature exploration, and mindfulness, participants learn practical tools for managing stress, expressing themselves, and connecting with others in a supportive environment.

WHY IT MATTERS?

Many teens today spend hours on screens but have fewer opportunities to connect with themselves, with nature, and with peers in meaningful ways. This experience is designed to help teens step away from constant digital stimulation and reconnect with creativity, curiosity, and confidence.

01

 Roots: Self-Awareness & Identity

Teens begin by exploring who they are and what matters to them through creative activities like collage, poetry, and mindful nature observation. This week focuses on building self-awareness and a sense of grounding.

02

Voice: Self-Expression

Through writing prompts, expressive art, and supportive group activities, teens practice sharing their thoughts and feelings in creative ways. This week helps participants develop confidence in expressing themselves.

03

Resilience: Emotional Regulation

Teens learn simple, practical tools for calming their nervous systems and managing stress. Through mindfulness, movement, and reflection in nature, they build skills for navigating big emotions.

04

 Growth: Confidence & Integration

In the final week, teens reflect on what they’ve discovered about themselves and look ahead with greater confidence. The program concludes with collaborative creativity, future-focused reflection, and a meaningful closing celebration.

Bailey Sims, LMHC

Hi I am so excited to host this group. I was once a teen girl and I know how rough it can be. I am now a mother to two daughters, I am a sister, and a daughter myself. The teen version of myself still lives inside me and hopes to build a soft place to land for her and other teen girls, both past and present.

As a forever craft loving art-maker, a former forest school educator and now licensed mental health counselor, my hope is to combine nature, art and supportive mental health practices in this group offering for teen girls as a reminder that they already have all the resources they need within themselves.

What does it cost?

This is a clinical mental health counseling group and we accept the following insurances: Medicaid, Anthem, United, CareSource and Ambetter. The out of pocket cost is aligned with the insurance reimbursement rate of $112.50 per session. If your insurance plan doesn't cover mental health, or if the out of pocket cost is too high, there are payment plans and very limited scholarships available.

$450
