Mind Body Nature Counseling presents
Writing Your Wilderness
Finding self through nature.
This virtual workshop takes place Saturday June 7th from 2-4 PM EST over Zoom.
What's the connection between creative writing and nature therapy?
For as long as humans have been writing, we've written about and through the natural world. Of course we have! Humans are, at our center, natural beings, with our own cycles and seasons. Our digital, indoor lifestyle disconnects us from nature, which can lead to dissociation and dysregulation.
Oftentimes, when we find ourselves in this state, our thoughts become stuck or catastrophic. This is when we look to our body and the natural world as raw and real resources that can help us process emotions, untangle thoughts, and lead us toward whole-body wellness.
Weaving a creative writing practice into these nature-based and body-based therapeutic practices can reconnect us to the natural world, to ourselves, and to the wilderness that lives inside us all.
What you will walk away with:
anxiety & stress reduction
Find ease and release through the experience of connecting with nature and exploration of writing.
connection & community
Be together over zoom and connecting with the natural world while sharing in the group.
self reflection & knowledge
Through the experience you'll use the natural world as a mirror for looking within, and take away a written reminder.

Writing Your Wilderness rejuvenates my spirit every season! I enjoy being able to slow down, sit in nature and community, and have space and guidance to channel my creative energy. I always leave this experience feeling calmer, more grounded, and with a good poem or two in hand!
